Your Position:
The Creative Events Producer will help us to reimagine and transform our events, and work collaboratively with others to build Burwood’s status as a unique destination. Key events include an exciting Burwood Summer Program, Greek Street Fair, Lunar New Year and unique large and small scale events to celebrate 150 years since Council was formed.
You will be charged with:
4. Bringing your initiative and creative flair into the design and delivery of Council and partnered events
5. Planning, promoting, coordinating and evaluating Council events, laneway, high street and town centre activations
6. Ensuring all events are developed and undertaken within allocated budget and in accordance with Councils’ risk management framework
7. Contributing to Council’s broader arts and cultural program
8. Exploring opportunities for sponsorship and/or funding of events and programs on a local and regional level.
To be successful in this role you will have:
9. Relevant tertiary qualification such as Event Management, Tourism Management, Stage Management and Production, Project Management and/or equivalent demonstrated work experience in a similar role
10. Demonstrated experience in events management including end to end event planning and delivery
11. Demonstrated initiative and creative flair in event concept design, organisation and implementation, including the ability to effectively prioritise tasks for large-scale public events delivery
12. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of arts/cultural programs
13. Exceptional administrative skills and financial management, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet organisational goals within budget and at best practice standards
14. Availability to work out of hours and on weekends as required.
