The Position
Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is a critical part of the transactional finance function, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable and banking operations. Key responsibilities include:
* High-volume accounts payable processing, invoice coding and payment runs
* Daily bank processing, including domestic and international payments
* Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Cash receipting, matching and resolution of unallocated cash
* Reconciliation of major suppliers
* Preparing journals in JD Edwards for authorisation
* Supporting month-end close within a tight timeframe
* Liaising with vendors and customers
* Identifying risks and opportunities for process improvement
* Providing backup support across the finance team as required
Your Profile
You will be a self-sufficient, reliable Accounts Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will ideally bring:
* Proven experience in manual accounts payable processes, reconciliations, payment runs, bank reconciliations
* Exposure to corporate environments to support you in a busy environment, whilst working on an ERP system
* Strong ability to manage volume, deadlines and daily payment cut-offs
* Experience with JD Edwards, Circulus or Dynamics AX preferred
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Clear, confident communication and a team-first mindset
* Comfort working autonomously while staying connected to the team
