This is a term-time continuing position for 38hpw, commencing as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant.We are seeking applicants who will contribute to the effective and efficient operation and environment of the school through a high level of personal motivation and initiative in the ongoing maintenance, beautification, and development of the school’s facilities and grounds.Reporting to the Principal, this role performs daily grounds and maintenance tasks including minor repairs and maintenance of school building and surrounds, gardening and grounds beautification and various other tasks as required.Typical duties include but are not limited:-Securing grounds and equipment – keeping our school safeMowing, trimming and fertilising lawns and turf areasRepairing and maintaining irrigation systemsWeeding, planting and fertilising gardensOutdoor cleaning and use of high-pressure water cleanerIdentify and assist with minor building maintenance – e.g., touch up painting and other minor repairs.Assembling, moving, and relocating furnitureAssisting with the set-up of spaces for school eventsGardening and general caretaking of school buildings and gardensWorking with other grounds staff, as requiredRubbish and waste managementWorking with, contractors to oversee major repairs and maintenanceAbout YouThe successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education.
