The role
SACARE is a South Australian-owned and operated organisation leading the way in providing innovative in-home and supported accommodation care solutions to a diverse range of participants. We are seeking a Casual Team Leader to support our valued participants and employees for our In Home Services located in Victor Harbor.
This challenging and rewarding role will support the In Home Services Team with the day to day running of the homes and support of the participants and team members. You will need to be just as much a member of the team as a leader of it.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision of shift routines on a daily basis
- Monitoring stock levels
- Ensuring team members log incidents/hazards and providing assistance as required
- Orientation, coaching and mentoring of new team members/students
- Monitoring, coaching, mentoring and reporting client routines/needs on a daily basis
- Providing assistance with ADLs as required
- Supervising/performing high intensity care procedures
- Dispensing medication from a dossette/Webster pack
- Contributing to safe and healthy work environments
- Commitment to understanding and minimizing any adverse environmental impacts
Qualifications and Requirements
- Cert IV Disability (or higher)
- Competency in all High Intensity Procedures required
- Clear communication skills
- Robust leadership skills
- Ability to work as a team leader
- A commitment to providing a quality service
- Reliable and honest
- Efficient
- Current DHS Working With Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker's Check
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- Current Driver's Licence
