Residential Energy Efficiency Consultant / NatHERS Assessor - Trainee or experienced
Role Overview
Join our team as a Residential Energy Assessor at EcoForm Consulting and play a key role in helping clients achieve their energy efficiency goals. This permanent, full-time position is based in Mandurah, with free parking and easy access to public transport.
In this role, you'll interpret architectural plans, conduct independent energy efficiency assessments using approved energy rating software and communicate results clearly to a diverse range of clients. You'll work closely with the Energy Efficiency Lead while managing your own workload and deadlines, contributing to a supportive and professional consultancy environment.

This role is ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in the building industry, energy efficiency, or sustainability. Whether you are an experienced Energy Assessor or have relevant industry knowledge and are keen to gain accreditation, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll thrive in this role if you are organised, detail-oriented, and confident communicating both verbally and in writing. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and assess architectural and building plans
* Conduct independent energy efficiency assessments using approved energy rating software
* Ensure assessments comply with relevant energy efficiency regulations
* Prepare and communicate clear, accurate energy efficiency results to clients
* Maintain current accreditation or work towards accreditation with a NatHERS approved body
* Manage workloads effectively to meet client deadlines
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Previous experience in, or knowledge of, the building industry
* Ability to read and interpret architectural plans
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
* Experience modelling projects in house energy rating software (e.g. BERS Pro)
* Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (CPP41119)
* Accreditation with an Accredited Assessor Organisation (Design Matters, ABSA, etc.)
