Leading a team of experts, you will oversee design management activities for various infrastructure projects across Australia. Your goal is to ensure that Symal's design process adheres to the highest standards of technical compliance, quality, cost, safety, sustainability, and environmental performance while meeting project timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar with extensive experience in delivering complex design and construction projects within civil infrastructure.
* Demonstrated capacity to identify, manage, and mitigate key design risks associated with solar infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of mechanical and chemical stabilization methods—such as lime, cement, or fly ash treatment—and skill in identifying opportunities to reuse excavated or marginal materials to reduce imported fill and minimize environmental impact.
* Well-developed commercial, business, conceptual, and analytical skills.
* Great communicator—written and verbal.
* Sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Victorian construction industry.
* Good commercial acumen—proven expertise in establishing and governing commercial contracts with a large number of design partners.
