Salary: $143,677 to $151,608 per annum (plus 12% superannuation contribution).
Location: Level 4, 70 Collins St, Hobart, Tasmania
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the TCGS genetic counselling workforce, supervising Associate Genetic Counsellors, Certified Genetic Counsellors and Allied Health Assistants.
Provide strategic direction and policy development in collaboration with the Head of Department and Operations Manager.
Maintain an advanced clinical caseload, handling complex, critical, or difficult genetic counselling cases.
Provide statewide expert advice in clinical genetics and genomics, and contribute to service strategy and workforce planning.
Qualifications & Experience
A tertiary qualification/program of study in Genetic Counselling accredited by the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA) or equivalent.
Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, with a minimum of postgraduate specialised experience in genetic counselling.
Certified and Registered Clinical Genetic Counsellor with the HGSA (full certification, current registration).
Current Driver's Licence.
* Experience across all sub-disciplines including familial cancer and prenatal genetic counselling.
* Experience in multidisciplinary team environments and facilitating change.
* Current Genetic Counselling Registration with the HGSA.

Employment Details
Permanent, full‐time, day worker position; working 76 hours per fortnight; starting as soon as possible.
Work hours negotiable with successful applicant; some out‐of‐hours work, intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
Position based in Hobart, with occasional travel to North/North West Tasmania.
