Visit our website or YouTube channel to learn more.The RoleAs a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end procurement services that support TasWater’s strategic objectives. You will provide expert advice on procurement planning, lead complex sourcing activities, and ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and governance requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will drive value-for-money outcomes, mitigate risk, and contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused procurement function.Key AccountabilitiesProvide specialist advice and manage source-to-contract procurement processes in alignment with business objectives and compliance protocolsLead the development, coordination, and execution of complex tenders, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiationsDeliver accurate procurement reporting, market analysis, and dashboards to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvementApply risk mitigation strategies for high-value procurements and ensure fair, transparent, and ethical sourcing practicesEngage with stakeholders to understand business needs and support procurement planning, market briefings, and supplier relationship managementChampion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, adhering to all relevant WHS policies and proceduresFor a full copy of the position description, please visit our website.What we're looking forWe’re seeking a proactive and experienced procurement professional who brings both strategic and operational expertise to deliver value-driven sourcing solutions. You’ll have strong stakeholder engagement skills, a solid foundation in procurement governance, and the ability to lead complex, high-value contracts that align with organisational goals.Qualification in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field, along with extensive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chainStrong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and engage stakeholders to support strategic procurement planning and outcomesProven track record in negotiating and managing complex, high-value contracts and agreementsDeep understanding of procurement governance, compliance, and risk management frameworksStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with proficiency in procurement systems and data reporting toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and influence at all levelsWhy TasWater?Across our multi-disciplinary organisation, we are serious about enhancing the skills and careers of our team members.
