Child Safe Officer
About the Role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Child Safe Project Officer will lead the development and implementation of the project of Bathurst Regional Council becoming a Child Safe Organisation. The role will review the status, including a gaps analysis of Bathurst Regional Council becoming a Child Safe organisation, develop the required policies, procedures, tools and resources required in accordance with NSW Child Safe Scheme and Work with relevant stakeholders both internal and external to ensure the child safe practices are embedded across the organisations culture and practice.

Essential Criteria
* Minimum 3 years experience in Community Services, or Child related work.
* Sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards
* An awareness of the requirements for Local Government under the Child Safe Scheme in relation to systems, policies and procedures
* Experience in project planning and implementation
* A high level of organisation skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* High level of written and communication skills
* Current Class C Drivers Licence

Salary:
$745.46 to $783.20 per week + superannuation
Position Status:
Maximum Term Part-time (2 Year Contract)
Hours of work:
15 hours - 2 Days Per Week
