Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Work Place Health, Safety and Environment Professional to fill a critical role in our South Australian operations. The selected candidate will be accountable to the General Manager SA Assets and will be primarily based at the Pelican Point Power Station at Outer Harbor, with regular travel to other South Australian Assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Work Health, Safety and Environment Management System across all South Australian generation portfolio sites.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators and targets, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Conduct thorough safety audits, behavioral assessments and provide recommendations for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance plant and process safety.
* Manage National Pollutant Inventory reporting and National Greenhouse and Energy reporting program for all SA assets.
* Prepare annual environmental performance reports to stakeholders and assist with environmental reporting requirements to regulatory agencies.
* Provide expert advice on safety-related matters, including risk management and control measures.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and review risk registers to ensure effective preventative measures are in place.
* Foster a strong safety culture through proactive intervention and positive engagement with site personnel.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with external regulatory agencies, councils and other stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include executing delegated projects and tasks as required by the business.
