OM Civil – a privately owned Gold Coast based civil construction contractor; is seeking an experienced and motivated HSEQ Officer to join our dynamic team and support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible civil and urban development works across Southeast Queensland.
As a key member of our operations team, you will champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards across multiple projects, working closely with site personnel, project managers, subcontractors, and senior leadership. About the Role
In this role, you will:
· Implement and monitor HSEQ systems and procedures across active civil construction sites
· Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and provide practical support to project teams
· Lead incident investigations and assist with corrective and preventative actions
· Support onboarding, toolbox talks, and training to strengthen our safety-first culture
· Assist in maintaining ISO-aligned management systems and ensuring regulatory compliance
· Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and contribute to continual improvement initiatives

About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
· Previous experience (3- 5 years) in HSEQ roles within civil construction or related industries
· Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental compliance, and quality management systems
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to positively influence behaviours on site
· Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety leadership
· Relevant qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management, Quality, or equivalent
