About You
The purpose of the Operations Manager role is to provide effective strategic operational coaching, management, and leadership of the Logan - Queensland Kincare Program. The program provides a range of services to assist children and young people who are in need of care and protection to meet their permanent care plan needs including safety, stability, and wellbeing through a culturally aware and responsive lens with Kin Carers. The program delivers three main services namely Connection Kin, Equipping Kin, and Supporting Kin.
The Program uses a client-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed framework to guide its service delivery and facilitate sustainable and practical outcomes for children, young people, and families, working in partnership with member agencies and local ethnic and sector partners. Its cultural lens aims to link children and young people with a bilingual worker and/or carer and/or community-based matched bilingual support worker.
The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and operationalising the Logan – Queensland Kincare program in Queensland. This program is designed to connect, equip, and support kinship carers, ensuring that children in out-of-home care experience stability and connection with their extended family and cultural roots. Given the establishment phase, this role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to wear multiple hats as the program takes shape.

1. Bachelor’s in social science or social work or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience leading or managing teams working with children and families involved in child protection and/or out of home care
3. Experience with DCSSDS and working with CALD communities highly desirable
