Make a Real Difference in Aboriginal Maternal Health

Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) has supported the Broome community for over 40 years. BRAMS provides holistic, culturally safe primary health care and community services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About the Role:

The Midwife provides safe, woman-centred care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families during pregnancy and the postnatal period. The role works within the Primary Health Care team alongside GPs, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health staff to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.

Key areas include:

* Antenatal and postnatal assessment and care
* Health education and support for women and families
* Coordinated multidisciplinary case management
* Accurate clinical documentation and quality improvement activities

What You'll Bring:

Essential:

Candidates for the position of Midwife must address the following selection criteria:

* Current registration as a Midwife
* Experience in antenatal and postnatal care in a primary or community health setting
* Commitment to delivering culturally safe, woman-centred care
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or remote/regional setting

In addition to a competitive salary of $110,000 - $120,00 per annum (based on skills and experience) we also offer;
