The Operations Assistant is responsible for supervising specimen collection from Treatment Intervention Court participants.
The Operations Assistant is responsible for the delivery of high quality customer service, urine sample collection from the participants on the Treatment Intervention Court for the purpose of alcohol and drug testing. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all urine sample collection processes are undertaken in accordance with the Australian Standards for Drug and Alcohol Testing.
The position also undertakes administrative tasks related to this function including notifying participants when to attend the court for test collection, recording attendance, labelling, and dispatching samples for confirmation, collating test results, and entering results onto the data base. The Operations Assistant is also required to assist with general administrative duties to support the operations of the Treatment Intervention Court.
**Special Conditions**:
- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
- This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry. A WWCC can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory
- As a justice agency, the CAA my receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
**Remuneration**:
OPS2 ($58,709 - $63,154 per annum)
