Location: Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach (Applicants must currently reside locally in the Whitsundays and have permanent, unrestricted working rights)
Your Availability
You must be flexible with your availability - able to work weekends, Fridays, school holidays and cover staff on their annual leave when required.

About the role
We are seeking a highly capable Sales & Reservations Consultant to join our busy charter operations, supporting Cumberland Charter Yachts and Luxury Yachts Whitsundays.
This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can think critically, manage competing priorities, and work confidently with minimal supervision. You will be a key point of contact for our guests, responsible for converting enquiries into bookings, supporting charter operations, and handling essential administrative tasks that keep the business running smoothly.
This role requires initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to stay organised and focused while juggling multiple tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Reservations
* Respond to phone, email and in-person enquiries promptly and professionally, with a strong focus on conversion and revenue optimisation
* Manage the end-to-end booking process, including charter reservations, documentation, and follow-up
* Proactively upsell and book third-party products and services to enhance guest experiences
* Accurately enter and maintain customer data in the CRM system
Customer Experience
* Meet and greet clients with a warm, confident and professional manner
* Provide knowledgeable advice about the Whitsundays, vessels, and charter experiences
* Handle customer questions and issues calmly, using sound judgement and problem-solving skills Skills and Attributes (Critical to Success in this role)
* Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Able to work unsupervised, be reliable, take initiative, and manage priorities independently
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills

Experience Required
* Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar sales, reservations, or travel-related role
* Experience in the travel, tourism, or marine industry
Highly Regarded
* Local knowledge of the Whitsundays and surrounding islands
* Knowledge of boats and marine terminology
* Sailing or boating experience
