About the role
Join the dedicated team at Expert Care Services' as a casual Support Worker based in Wollongong, NSW. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate and individualised care to members of the local community who require additional support to live independently. What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
* Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events
* Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote their wellbeing
* Maintaining detailed client records and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure the safety and quality of care
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a community services or caregiving role, preferably in a casual or part-time capacity
* A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to providing individualised care
* A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
* A background in Mental health (essential)
* A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (desirable)
