About The Role
As a Leading Hand, you'll be the go-to person on site, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring high quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating a team of carpenters and apprentices
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Organising materials, tools, and subcontractors
- Ensuring safety standards and project timelines are met
- Hands-on carpentry work where needed to keep the job moving
- Reporting progress and issues to site/project managers
What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualified carpenter (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in carpentry, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction
- Ability to manage a team and liaise with clients and contractors
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills
- White Card, valid driver’s licence, and own tools
