**Head of HR & Education APAC**
- Sydney, Australia- Contract or Temp- $180,000 - $200,000 per year- 12-month contract, Hybrid working, Completion Bonus
- Travel throughout APAC
- $180k + Super + Bonus

- Responsible for working closely with Retail Store Managers and Brand Consultants to plan, coordinate, maintain and develop the commercial and operational performance of each store/corner in order to maximize sales and profitability. Set goals and expectations and ensure that these are achieved through regular monitoring. Oversee the recruitment, training, performance management and development of Store Management Teams/Brand Consultants so as to achieve key results. Be a key promoter of the brand values along with the competency and behaviour framework, ensuring this is brought to life on a day-to-day basis.

**OVERALL KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Key performance indicators**
- Customer service expectations - Programme usage in all Retail Stores.
- Loyalty programme - Store and Regional targets met.
- Endless Aisle performance in line with the target.
- Wage control - ensuring payroll spending is in line with budget
- Manage controllable costs, i.e. stationary etc.
- Stock loss - prepare and conduct pre-audit visits, attend stock takes and conduct post-audits and analysis
- To be a guardian of profit
- Compilation and analysis of sales reports and all other commercial reporting
- Compliance in all areas
- Customer service and product knowledge levels maintained following training sessions
- First-level HR, including training and development
- Company visits
- Health and Safety

**Commercial**
- Weekly performance and coaching call with Store leaders.
- Agree, monitor and control store and wage budgets with the Retail Director.
- Conduct and report on regular store/corner visits to ensure standards and targets are being achieved. Give feedback to the store manager or brand consultant via a visit report.
- Monitor the business performance of stores and implement procedures that maximise performance and profitability
- Work with B+M and Visual to produce a commercially sound monthly Model Store pack
- Understand the needs of each store/corner in relation to its local commercial differences, such as location, local competition, demographic, market, or customer base
- Meet and strive to exceed area KPIs
- Ensure effective organisation and delegation of all tasks
- Aware of market and competitor activity and able to feedback report on findings
- Oversee and prioritise all aspects of the opening of new stores and assist with the refurbishment of existing stores/corners as and when appropriate and within agreed timescales
- Ensure that stock loss in the area is monitored and kept below 1%

**People management**
- Effectively recruit store management in line with the Recruitment policy
- Ensure store management teams located across the area adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Manage the absence of Store Management, ensuring cover provided
- Manage staff hours in line with trade patterns and company productivity and wage costs
- Ensure continued development of area and individuals through probation and regular performance and development reviews
- Work with L+D on individual Store leader's development needs
- Manage underperformance through the Pip process.
- Carry out disciplinary, appeal, grievance and performance management-related procedures. Liaise as required with the employment advice line and ensure their advice is followed.
- Ensure the area is trained and all managers are capable of carrying out their job roles
- Ensure annual Performance and Development Reviews are completed by Store Managers in the area, and development plans are put in place
- Participate in the succession planning for retail and brand with the Retail Director, Head of HR & People Development

Have an understanding of employment law in order to protect the business from HR-related issues; identify potential risk areas and discuss with HR Advisor**Leadership skills**
- Inspire and motivate others, leading by example and maintaining a positive approach to issues
- Anticipate problems, make decisions and delegate effectively. Develop and implement solutions.
- Use initiative to help drive the business forward
- Proactively approach and build relationships in all areas of the business

**Store/corner operations**
- Ensure the highest standard of Visual Merchandising standards to ensure the store represents the brand in line with VM guidelines and Execute and Excellence pack.
- Train, coach and drive area to ensure customer service is of the highest level. Liaise with L & D on training provision and offer ideas on all aspects of training. Ensure Brand Champions are using training packs
