Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Day Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Wacol. Reporting to the Operations and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for repair, testing and preventive maintenance of machines with a strong emphasis on all safety and quality standards within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Maintain site machinery to ensure safety of personnel, site and equipment
* Carry out repair, testing & preventive maintenance and testing of machines and equipment including:
o Hydraulics, pneumatics, valves
o Gearboxes and bearings
o Rollers, conveyors, pulleys etc.
o Fault-finding and repairing malfunctions of mechanical equipment and plant
Qualifications
* Trade Qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
* Experience preferred in Reinforcing Steel or similar industry such as manufacturing (training provided)
* Strong Work Ethic and Reliable
* Safety conscience
* Available to work 7am-3:30pm
* Good communication skills and the ability to work successfully individually and as part of a team
* High Risk Forklift ticket will be highly regardedEWP Ticket will be highly regarded
