Project Engineer
The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused engineer to take charge of a national project. You will be responsible for the seamless delivery of work orders, steering the program towards meeting key performance targets and contractual commitments.
You will own the full lifecycle of deployment, from scheduling and coordination through to completion, staying ahead of jeopardies and ensuring every task aligns with our standards.
As Project Engineer, you will guide stakeholders with confident, strategic insight and champion a culture of performance, quality, and continuous improvement across the program.

What You'll Be Doing
1. Own the scheduling, actioning, and timely closure of all work orders
2. Lead your team to consistently hit contractual KPIs and OPMs
3. Optimise field resource utilisation through smart planning and prioritisation
4. Ensure Design and Survey packs are accurate and compliant with build standards
5. Track real-time performance and proactively mitigate risks
6. Uphold all processes, procedures, and HS E requirements
7. Support incident management, PIRs, and contingency planning
8. Drive operational improvements, enhance systems, and maintain up-to-date documentation
9. Deliver clear, professional responses to customer and stakeholder inquiries
Candidate Requirements
We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring:
* An engineering degree
* Telecommunications experience - ideally with exposure to the NBN landscape
* Solid understanding of schedule of rates and NBN build standards
* Confident client-facing experience
* Strong digital capability, particularly with Power BI and Excel
* A proven ability to manage high-volume workloads while meeting strict KPIs
* Exceptional communication skills and confidence to engage at all organisational levels
* The ability to work independently, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and deliver consistent results
* Strong technical and commercial acumen
