We are seeking an experienced Legal Professional to join our team. This role will support a range of commercial and legal matters across key accounts and business segments, at all points in the contract lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
* Providing legal support on new business opportunities
* Advising on legal risk
* Supporting resolution of contractual issues or disputes
Main Duties:
* Drafting and reviewing complex commercial contracts, including tenders and customer contracts;
* Providing timely reporting to multiple stakeholders with predictive risk analysis;
* Leading digital technology-driven initiatives for the team;
* Developing terms and offerings that balance customer needs with business objectives;
* Supporting and leading team training, knowhow, precedent and innovation initiatives;
* Taking ownership of matters and workload, independently managing complex matters whilst offering support to others;
* Contributing to and/or leading team training, knowhow, precedent and innovation initiatives;
Requirements:
* At least 5 years experience in a commercial legal role, preferably in-house in a technology or professional services organisation;
* Strong understanding of contract law, commercial negotiation and legal risk management;
* Familiarity with IT contracting, outsourcing or system integration agreements is a plus, as is an interest in new technologies;
* Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and work across complex deals to reach successful business outcomes;
* Understanding of financial models, cashflow and profit and loss to inform support given to accounts and transactions;
* Legal qualifications and admission to practice in Australia;
