Freyssinet Australia is seeking talented Site Engineers and Project Engineers to join our Civil Division for a landmark bridge strengthening project in Canberra. This two-year project presents the opportunity to be part of technically complex civil works while developing your skills and career within a global engineering leader.
About the RoleIn this role, you will play a key part in delivering bridge strengthening, bearing replacement and structural rehabilitation works. Working alongside experienced project leaders, you will be involved in every stage of delivery — from planning to completion.
You will:Support the planning and execution of bridge strengthening and bearing replacement worksAssist in the coordination of FRP strengthening and post-tensioning operationsManage subcontractors, suppliers, and daily site activitiesUphold safety, quality, and environmental standards across all site operationsTrack budgets, schedules, and progress, providing accurate reports to the Project ManagerLiaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to achieve successful project outcomes
About YouYou are an engineer with strong technical foundations and a passion for delivering high-quality civil projects. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively, and seeing tangible results from your work.
You will bring:A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline)Previous experience in bridges, structures, or civil infrastructure projectsKnowledge of FRP works, bearing replacements, jacking, or post-tensioning (highly regarded)Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skillsA strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
