The opportunity
Carrara Family Practice is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our dynamic team in Carrara, QLD. As a part-time Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the overall operations of our medical practice.
Key responsibilities
* Providing nursing care to patients, including administering injections, dressing wounds, and conducting health assessments
* Assisting doctors with examinations, procedures, and patient education
* Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring the practice's clinical data is up-to-date
* Coordinating the ordering and management of medical supplies and equipment
* Promoting and implementing infection control policies and procedures
* Offering support and guidance to patients, addressing their queries and concerns
* Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient-centred care
What we're looking for
* Registered Nurse with a valid AHPRA registration and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge of general medical and surgical nursing practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
* Proficient in using medical software and technology to support patient care
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
