As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, design and delivery of complex civil engineering solutions within multidisciplinary building projects. You'll work closely with architects, structural engineers and other specialists to translate project requirements into safe, sustainable and buildable outcomes across design and delivery phases. This role suits an experienced civil engineer who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring others, and seeing projects through from concept to construction.Key responsibilitiesLead and deliver civil engineering design across complex built‐environment projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and accessPrepare and review civil design outputs, drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance and constructabilityResolve design gaps and coordinate interfaces across disciplines within multidisciplinary project teamsApply engineering judgement to address complex technical challenges on constrained sitesSupport and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and constructive feedbackContribute to planning and resourcing of design packages or workstreams within larger projectsEngage with internal stakeholders and project teams to support positive client outcomesPromote safe, sustainable and compliant engineering design in line with industry standardsWhat we're looking forStrong experience as a civil engineer within the built environment, ideally in a consultancy environmentProven capability delivering civil design on building‐led or precinct projects rather than council‐focused planning worksExperience supporting or leading components of large, complex projectsDefence or defence‐adjacent project experience is desirable but not essentialProficiency with standard civil engineering design software (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D or similar)A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearlyConfidence working across multiple stakeholders and managing prioritiesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)Working toward, or eligibility for, professional engineering accreditation is advantageousBenefits At Aurecon, we design work not just for performance, but for people.
