Thisnewly created role is responsible for providing outcomes-focused expert legal advice for VHBA's construction and infrastructure projects, and related construction procurement advice.
Your work will have a tangible impact on our local community.
Your day-to-day work will involve advising on a variety of multi-million-dollar health infrastructure projects, from the construction of new hospitals, redevelopments of public hospitals to grass roots initiatives like early parenting centres and facilities supporting the health-led response to drug and alcohol issues.
You will influence government decision making on front-end construction and infrastructure issues, construction procurement and government policy, working with a range of construction contract models, bespoke best-for-project solutions, as well as a variety of construction related legal issues.
You will also advise on contract management phase issues like claims, performance and disputes.
You will be responsible for identifying and assisting VHBA to manage legal risk and compliance, providing innovative and practical and compliant solutions and risk control strategies and identifying new opportunities in the management of legal issues
Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA)
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects.
Our diverse projects span the health, mental health and aged care portfolios across metropolitan, regional and rural settings and ambulance branches across Victoria.
VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.

Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA)
VIDA is responsible for delivering the largest transport and health infrastructure program in Victorian history.This includes more than 200 projects such as the Metro Tunnel, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel, removing 110 level crossings, building new hospitals and upgrades to ambulance stations, specialist health services and early parenting centres.Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the four project offices – Victorian Health Building Authority, Major Road Projects Victoria, Level Crossing Removal Project and the Metro Tunnel Project.
