Job Description
The Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to coordinate care across the home, ensuring that individual needs, wishes, and goals are met in a supportive and respectful environment.
This is a leadership position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide social and emotional support to all residents, ensuring that care provision is holistic and person-centered.
* Support the coordination of care needs across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and hydration, pressure care management.
* Lead/supervise care on the shift, within designated wings or areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication) OR Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines) OR Certificate III in Individual Support with willingness to undertake training to obtain required qualifications.
* A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
* An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and to learn new skills as required.
* A current National police check.
* Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
