About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support Allied Health professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients, particularly older people and those living with disability. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist with implementing therapy programs, supporting patient activities, and helping ensure effective and efficient care delivery within a hospital or healthcare setting.
You will work under the guidance of supervising Allied Health professionals to carry out delegated tasks, assist with patient care activities, and contribute to documentation and administrative support. This role offers a great opportunity to build your clinical experience while making a positive impact on patient outcomes.
About You
You hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or an equivalent qualification recognised by the employer) and have experience working with elderly or disabled populations in a healthcare setting.
You are a reliable team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You can manage your workload, follow delegated tasks within your scope of practice, and seek guidance when required.
You are also confident using computers, including Microsoft Office and email applications, and have a clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of an Allied Health Assistant. A current NSW driver's licence is required.
