About the Role Provide personalised in-home care support to older Australians living in cairns, assisting them to continue living independently in their own home. We have Casual and Permanent Part Time positions available with hours between 7am to 7pm, no sleepover shifts and occasional weekend shifts. This opportunity would suit someone looking for flexible and additional hours that can be tailored to suit school hours or other commitments. Key Responsibilities Domestic assistance duties. This consists of light cleaning duties, changing of bed linen, washing/laundry In-home supports inclusive of meal preparation and assistance with daily living Social supports inclusive of support to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, building/maintaining social networks Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and well-being (for example, identification of wound care needs, skin integrity, etc) Skills & Experience Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a reliable registered vehicle Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment) Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and complete an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
