An exciting opportunity to be a part of our thriving and successful international company exists in our Hume branch for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Account Manager.
Your Role
You'll be responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of customers across the building and construction sectors. This includes developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring total customer satisfaction. Your day-to-day will involve:
* Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships through regular site visits
* Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
* Preparing quotes, tenders, and sales proposals
* Meeting sales targets through lead generation and cold calling
* Working collaboratively with internal teams to manage service delivery and resolve customer issues
* Staying on top of industry trends and competitor activity
What you'll need
* Proven sales experience with a strong track record of meeting targets and KPIs
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage contracts, maintain call cycles, and follow up diligently
* Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in the construction, timber, or hardware industry is highly regarded
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or Commerce (preferred)
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements in the building industry
* Valid driver's licence and professional presentation
