About The Role
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks and servers. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes. Monitor all IT systems and maintain overall health, adhering to security best practises.

Role Responsibilities
* Provide level 3 technical support globally across the business, both remote and on-site.
* Track issues through to resolutions, in accordance with agreed SLAs.
* Maintain best practice (ITIL) standards and procedures with regards to Incident, Problem and Change Management.
* Install and upgrade server infrastructure in the Cloud and datacentres and integrate automation process.
* Review and update documentation, including user guides and internal knowledge base.
* Administer infrastructure including VMWare, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
* Maintain security, backup, and redundancy plans.
* Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks.
* Undertake projects to improve the operation and security of PointsBet's systems.
* Administer user accounts, including setup, terminations, and changes.
* Maintain and support Office 365 and Azure Active Directory environments.
* Suggest, research, and test new technologies as required.
Required Skills And Qualifications
* Extensive experience with Office 365, including Exchange, OneDrive, and Active Directory
* Worked with at least 1 cloud platforms like Azure, AWS & Google Cloud.
* Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
* Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Jira, ServiceNow)
* Understanding of Virtual Desktop environments (eg. Citirx, Azure VD, VMware Horizon)
* Experience with virtualisation replication, design and performance (eg. VMware, Hyper-V
* Technical Capabilities/Skills & Core Competencies
* Scripting and automation knowledge with ability to run pipelines in devops (eg. PowerShell, Python)
* Core Competencies:
* Strong analytical mindset to break and perform complex tasks.
* Able to perform root cause analysis with a problem-solving attitude.
* Experience troubleshooting systems.
* Understanding of networking principles, including IP addresses, subnets, switching, and routing.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Able to prioritise in difficult and ambiguous situations.
* Desire to upskill on different types of technologies.
Key Selection Criteria
* Extensive knowledge of desktop technologies: Windows, MS Office, email, virus/malware.
* Exceptional communication skills are essential to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues.
* A broad understanding of computer systems, applications, and operating systems.
* Educated/Experienced to degree level in Computer Science or related field.
* Vendor certification such as VMware Certified Professional VCP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
* Resilient, self-confident, and assertive.
* Effectively resolving complex and difficult issues and mitigating risks.
* Business and customer focussed and engaged.
