Site Signalling Engineer
Contract 6 Months Initially (Potential to Extend)
Location: Karratha, WA (7 Mile Site)
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Rate: $95$105 inc Super
Roster: 5/2/4/3 10.5 to 11-hour paid days
Role Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a Site Signalling Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure program in Pilbara. This site-based role supports the technical delivery of minor signalling upgrades and improvement works across a heavy haul freight network.
Working within an integrated project team, you will provide on-site engineering support, assist the Signals Project Manager, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with technical specifications.
This is a well-structured, long-term project environment ideal for a project engineer with hands-on experience in rail signalling installation, testing, and commissioning.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 35 years' experience in rail signalling project delivery (heavy haul preferred)
• Previous site-based experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling systems
• Strong understanding of Australian rail signalling standards
• Experience preparing and reviewing ITPs, test records, and handover documentation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance on-site
• Strong communication and coordination skills
Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of minor signalling improvement projects on-site
• Provide engineering oversight during infrastructure upgrades and renewals
• Liaise with contractors and technical stakeholders to ensure quality delivery
• Conduct inspections and verification activities, including ITPs and inspection records
• Review and interpret signalling designs for constructability and compliance
• Maintain quality records and assist with final handover documentation
