Water Treatment Specialist
A Water Treatment Specialist is required to assess the performance of a natural coagulant in water samples from various industries. The role involves conducting jar tests, performing laboratory analyses, and collaborating with clients to optimise treatment systems.
About the Role
This position requires a Laboratory Technician to work with clients across different industries to evaluate the effectiveness of our product. Key responsibilities include collecting water and wastewater samples, conducting jar testing, and performing physical and chemical analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect water and wastewater samples from client sites.
* Conduct jar testing to evaluate the performance of the coagulant.
* Perform physical and chemical analyses, including pH measurement, colour and turbidity assessment.
* Assess the performance of flocculation processes in a pilot-scale Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF).
* Conduct quality control tests on products to ensure they meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
* Interpret and document test results and prepare reports.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and optimise treatment systems.
Requirements:
* Professional communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
* Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others, and ability to work as part of an efficient team.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (TAFE certificate).
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
