Seeking Unicorn Veterinary Nurse – are you the one?

This role would include rotating shifts through reception, hospital, and surgery shifts. Don't worry, being a reception nurse is only a small section (unless that's your area of expertise then we need to talk).
Our hospital has all the usual bells and whistles – digital radiographs (including dental), ultrasound, full IDEXX pathology lab and more. We also offer puppy preschool, boarding and grooming services on site. While our primary focus is cats and dogs, we also commonly deal with pocket pets, birds, reptiles and a multitude of wildlife. Our range of services is quickly expanding as we modernise and upgrade our hospital and facilities. While we opened 30 years ago, our passion for providing gold standard care and a strong client relationship is always growing.
We want our nurses to be here for a lifetime Maybe that's because coffee runs and homemade morning teas are high on the priority list. Or that International Chocolate Day is always acknowledged. Mostly importantly, we believe that a workplace of teamwork, friendship and laughter is key.
Our ideal nurse
· Certificate IV Vet Nursing
· Has a passion for high quality patient care and forming strong client relationships
· Great communication skills
· Willingness to work independently and as a team
· Has experience with a variety of surgical and medical caseloads, and open to learn further
· Experience with Vetlink ideal but not required (can be easily taught)
· Likes to have a good laugh and chat
Mount Hutton Pet Hospital sits in the cozy lakeside suburb of Mount Hutton in Lake Macquarie. Only 2 hours from Sydney and sitting on a gorgeous area of coastline, there is nothing this town doesn't have. Between exploring the nearby Hunter Valley vineyards, the endless outdoor wonders (beaches, mountains, lakes) and the bustling city centre (hello coffee and brunch) there is plenty of things to fill your days off.
We offer from $30/hour depending on individual skills and experience, plus superannuation. Flexible working hours are possible, just let us know. We are open pm Monday to Friday and 8-12pm on Saturday. No afterhours required Staff discount included for your own pets.
