**EL 1 - Assistant Director WHS, Rehabilitation, and Inclusion**:

The National Library of Australia has an immediate need to fill an ongoing **EL 1 Assistant Director Work Health and Safety (WHS), Rehabilitation and Inclusion** role within the Corporate Branch.

Reporting directly to the Director Human Resources, this role is a key part of the Human Resources team and plays a critical role in implementing and embedding health and safety processes and programs and a culture of workplace health and safety across the workforce.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance, governance and engagement in participative work practices. You will also demonstrate evidence of being adaptable and resilient to changing circumstances, multiple priorities and demands while managing a diverse and complex work environment which includes the unique opportunity to have input into the Capital Works program for the heritage building.

Your expertise and knowledge of work health and safety and rehabilitation management practices will foster a safe and supportive work environment and drive positive change in shaping a strong culture of safety and wellbeing.

You will work closely with managers and the Library Executive to provide WHS support and advise and implement corporate WHS policies and WHS management plans to meet their ongoing work, health, and safety responsibilities.

To be considered for this exciting role you will require:

- Qualifications or minimum 3 years contemporary experience in WHS/Rehabilitation Management System (RMS) program management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant WHS/RMS certifications within six months.
