GV Independent Packers Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business since 1948, with over 1,500 acres of orchards within the Goulburn Valley region producing a range of apples, pears and stonefruits for supply to the national market and for export. Our company oversees the entire journey of our produce, from production, storage, packing, marketing, and transportation.
GV Independent Packers Pty Ltd is seeking a full time licensed Forklift Driver on our site in Shepparton, Victoria 3630. The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in our farms and distribution centre.
- Transporting fruit to designated areas in our farms and distribution centre.
- Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up.
- Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerised monitoring equipment.
- Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage.
- Servicing and performing minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts.
The applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- At least 2 years of work experience in operating forklifts.
- Forklift licence.
- Relevant AQF Certificate II or III (preferred).
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Sound knowledge of machine and mechanical aptitude.
- Good team member and leadership skills.
Pay: $76,515.00 per year
