Maddington Smash Repairs is a proud member of the Car Craft network and has been delivering quality Panel and Paint repairs to the community for over 40 years in the Perth Metropolitan area. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our team and lead our growing busy workshop.
About the Role
As the Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our repair facility, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. You'll manage a skilled team of tradespeople and support staff, coordinate workflow, liaise with insurers and suppliers, and maintain our reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
 * Manage and supervise workshop staff, allocating tasks and monitoring performance
 * Oversee job scheduling, workflow, and turnaround times
 * Ensure repair quality and compliance with industry standards
 * Liaise with customers, insurance assessors, and suppliers
 * Drive workshop efficiency, productivity, and profitability
 * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
 * Contribute to staff training, mentoring, and development
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a workshop management or supervisory role (Insurance/Panel beating/Spray-painting/Automotive background preferred)
 * Strong leadership and communication skills
 * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
 * Knowledge of smash repair processes and industry practices
 * Understanding of WHS and compliance requirements
 * Computer literacy (quoting/scheduling software experience advantageous)
