Job Title: Senior Estimator/Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for estimating project costs, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
About the Role:
* Establish a firm understanding of initial requirements, including liaising with internal engineers or external customers to define accurate quantities, materials, sizes, weights etc.
* Administer quotes and tenders, including the preparation, issuing, receiving, reviewing and comparison of proposals and pricing from multiple suppliers.
* Manage the quote process to ensure any changes in scope, questions or clarification regarding the work are fully documented and complied with.
* Manage the timeline for all quotes, including prioritizing deadlines and being able to re-prioritize, reassign and monitor situations as they change to see all tasks through to satisfactory completion.
* Analyze supplier performance, including gathering historical data to assist with decision making and recommendations.
* Responsible for the document control of all quotes, ensuring all documentation is checked, accurate and complete for submission to customers.
* Analyze and maintain standard costs for repeat works.
* Research, identify and engage alternative suppliers as required.
* Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs, identifying any cost trends or other issues to assist with improvement recommendations and/or cost reductions.
* Liaise with logistics providers to ensure all quotes cover relevant incoterms and delivery costs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (required).
* Experience in castings, forgings, valves, pumps or heavy manufacturing (preferred).
* Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Mandarin highly regarded.
