An established family-owned automotive electrical workshop operating since 1993 is seeking a Qualified Automotive Electrician to join their experienced and close-knit team. With a steady workflow and modern diagnostic equipment, this role offers the opportunity to work on advanced vehicle electrical systems while developing your expertise. The Role This is a full-time workshop-based position ideal for someone who enjoys advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and working across complex vehicle systems. Working within a team of five skilled technicians, you will help service approximately 9–10 vehicles per day in a well-equipped workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical diagnostics and advanced fault finding Diagnose and repair engine warning lights, electronic control systems, and air conditioning faults Program and work with vehicle control units (ECUs) Use computerised scan tools and oscilloscopes to identify electrical and engine management faults Repair or replace faulty wiring, starters, generators, alternators, and lighting systems Install electrical accessories including GPS units, cameras, alarms, and audio systems Carry out battery and charging system maintenance checks Support services such as tow bar wiring, electronic brake systems, and wiring harness design Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency About You To be successful in this role you will have: Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics Experience using modern diagnostic tools and scan equipment Air conditioning licence (preferred but not essential) Experience with European vehicles (advantageous but not required) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability A team-focused attitude Full Australian working rights What’s on Offer Competitive pay up to $50 per hour depending on experience Monday to Friday – no weekend work Join a long-standing family business with an excellent reputation Stable, consistent workflow Optional overtime available Ongoing training and development to stay current with evolving vehicle technology Supportive and collaborative workshop environment Apply Now If you’re a qualified automotive electrician looking for long-term stability and the opportunity to work with modern vehicle systems, we would love to hear from you.
