Job Overview
This role plays a vital part in supporting the sustainment of capability for our contract. As a Supply Chain and Logistics Officer, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Managing inventory, asset data, and configuration records across ERP systems, IFS Asset Management System, and SAP.
* Supporting procurement, spares forecasting, and supply chain planning activities.
* Coordinating logistics and delivery activities.
* Liaising with stakeholders on logistics matters when required.
* Assisting with contract administration and transactional finance tasks (purchase orders, receipting).
Frequently Required Tasks
* Travel occasionally to support stocktakes, asset validation, or project delivery activities.
About This Role
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of supply chain logistics, including inventory management, procurement, and delivery. You will also be working closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that we have adequate stock to meet customer demands.
2. Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
3. Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation and warehousing.
4. Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices and delivery schedules.
5. Monitor and report on supply chain metrics, including inventory turnover and lead times.
