About the Role
This role involves line management of supervisory, administrative, and ancillary staff. Financial planning, budget preparation, and human resource management are also key aspects of this position. You will be required to work effectively with secondary students, promote health and safety, and maintain effective working relationships within a team environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead the boarding community at Geraldton Residential College.
* Oversee day-to-day college operations and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
* Manage staff levels, recruitment, selection, performance, duties, and restructuring.
* Develop and monitor the college budget and financial plans.
* Ensure health, safety, welfare, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures are implemented.
* Provide leadership and support to promote a positive and inclusive community for students.
* Coordinate with external agencies, including First Aid, Driver licensing, and child safety checks.

Eligibility
To work in this role, you must:
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
* Hold a current Working with Children Check.
* Work according to rostered hours, which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* Obtain a First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID001) and First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) prior to first rostered shift working with students.
* Within six months of commencement, obtain and maintain a current LR Class Driver's Licence, Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation, Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award, and Surf Rescue Certificate.
* Obtain a Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42021) within six months of commencement.
* Meet operational requirements as determined by Manager Residential Colleges.
