We are currently seeking Home Care / Support Workers who are passionate about providing high quality care to our aged care clients across Canberra and the Queanbeyan area.
Employment status: C asual with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Personal care and support
* Domestic assistance in client's household
* Social support and client's transportation
* Supporting clients with challenging needs
* Monitoring and report client's progress and health status
* Attending training and meetings as required
Knowledge / experience/ attributes:
The successful candidates should possess, but not limited to, the following:
* Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly and/or people with disability who may have challenging behaviour
* Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate IV in Home and Community Care or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year of experience in community aged care or equivalent
* Evidence of good communication skills, including basic skills in written and spoken English
* Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
* Basic computer knowledge or skills
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Current driver's license, good driving record
* A reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
* Smart Phone with internet access
* National Police Clearance
* Immediate start
* Paid mileage
* Training provided
