Your Role
Key Responsibilities
AIX System Management:
* Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating systems on IBM Power Systems.
* Manage LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM virtualization.
* Perform system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
* Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
* Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.
* Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for deployments and integrations.
iSeries (IBM i) & pSeries Administration:
* Manage IBM iSeries & pSeries environments including OS upgrades, PTFs, and job scheduling.
* Support DB2/400, CLLE, RPGLE, and system security configurations.
* Maintain BRMS backups and high availability solutions
* Ensure compliance with audit and security standards.
SME Leadership:
* Provide SME input into operations
* Participate in on-call rotation and provide L3 escalation support.
* Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge base development.
Your Profile
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience in AIX and iSeries system administration.
* Strong knowledge of PowerHA, NIM, LVM, HMC, and SAN/NAS integration.
* Proficiency in scripting for automation.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
* Experience in regulated environments (e.g., banking) preferred.
* Certifications: IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX / IBM i (preferred).
