About the Role
FGCM Pty Ltd is seeking a highly organised and proactive Workforce Planner to join our growing team.
This pivotal role ensures the right people are in the right place at the right time, supporting project delivery while championing the wellbeing and engagement of our workforce.
You will be the heartbeat of our daily operations—coordinating crews, aligning resources to demand, and enabling our field teams to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise workforce rosters to meet operational and project requirements.
- Allocate personnel to projects, organise accommodation, and confirm all project details with employees and clients.
- Coordinate training, inductions, and medicals to ensure employee compliance and readiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee, project, and scheduling records.
- Liaise closely with Managers and Supervisors to ensure workforce planning aligns with operational priorities.
- Respond to same-day changes and urgent workforce requirements with agility and professionalism.
- Support recruitment processes, from advertising through to onboarding and ensuring all compliance documentation is complete.
- Facilitate allocation and tracking of equipment, vehicles, and gear to projects.
- Be available for out-of-hours calls as required to support operational continuity.
About You
You're a natural organiser, strong communicator, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
To succeed, you will bring:
- Proven experience in workforce planning, rostering, or resource coordination (preferably in construction, mining, or heavy industry).
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in workforce planning or rostering.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and rostering systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, quality work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with both internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
