Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled medical professional to join our Surgical team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective surgical care to patients under the supervision of a senior colleague.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain high levels of patient care and make clinical decisions in accordance with best quality patient care principles.
* Accurately maintain and update patient records.
* Liaise with senior colleagues on patient management matters to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Use sound judgment and decision-making processes such as time management and workflow prioritization.
* Perform duties with minimal supervision, take initiative, and contribute to department innovation and development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent qualification and current registration with the relevant medical board.
* At least two years' experience post-graduation in an Australasian hospital (or equivalent) as a Junior Medical Officer, including at least six months working in General Surgery teams.
* Demonstrated effective teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary clinical care team.
* The ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment, utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise.
