Key responsibilities for this Graduate Engineer position include assisting in the planning, investigation and delivery of capital works and maintenance projects across port assets, supporting the preparation of technical documentation, contributing to project management tasks, undertaking site inspections, audits and condition assessments, collecting and analysing data to support asset performance monitoring and environmental compliance.
This role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure effective asset management, assisting in developing and implementing asset management plans and maintenance strategies, and participating in initiatives related to safety, quality, environmental compliance and sustainability.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Marine preferred), strong technical foundation and understanding of engineering principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Project desirable), full Australian work rights and a valid driver's licence, willingness to undertake fieldwork and site inspections, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, high attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety, demonstrated initiative and adaptability in dynamic project settings, and previous internship, placement or project experience in engineering or infrastructure (desirable).
