Part Time Position
Albury Wodonga Health – Albury Day Surgery Unit requires a Registered Nurse to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for staff that would like to consider additional career opportunities, expand their clinical skills and work within a dynamic environment. Principal responsibilities include fulfill on call requirements, participate in daily provision of perioperative & day surgery services, patient care and advocacy, teamwork & communication.
Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:
1. Relevant experience in Day Surgery Nursing
2. ECG & monitoring skills
3. Intravenous cannulation experience
Core Selection Criteria we are looking for are:
4. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
5. Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environment.
6. Computer Literacy
7. Demonstrated commitment to, understanding and knowledge of:
- Quality improvement with the ability to develop and implement initiatives of continuous Quality improvement within the designated area of work.
- Staff development and Practice Development Principles.
- Applying education strategies to mitigate risk
- Research to inform Evidence Based Best Practice.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Nurses Association Award (Public).
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
