Field Service Plant Mechanic – Bathurst
WesTrac are seeking highly experienced Field Service Plant Mechanics to join our team at Bathurst!
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role will see you utilising your skillset to service and repair Caterpillar machinery for local government, quarries, and general construction customers. With a key focus on diagnostics, this is a highly autonomous role that requires extensive problem-solving experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing repairs, maintenance and inspections on a range of customer equipment
- Diagnosing and reporting for preventative maintenance
- Autonomously providing solutions, service and satisfaction to our customer
- Liaising and building a strong customer base and providing timely product support
- Documenting work and completing any required documentation
- Scheduling jobs and ordering parts as necessary
Roster and Remuneration
- Roster: Monday to Friday Day Shift, 10-hour days
- Hourly rates from $51.08 + $76.62 OT + Super

Skills & Experience
- Australia recognised Mechanical Trade qualification (Cert III Mobile Plant Desirable)
- Previous mine site experience (Desirable)
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment & technology (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements
- Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills with ability to manager work order notes
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
