Due to continuous growth and project wins, the Native Space Landscape and Maintenance team has a career opportunity available for an experienced Garden Team Leaders to join our crew in the Geelong Region
THE ROLE
In this hands-on role as a Gardening Team Leader, you will be required to:
* Maintain newly developed streetscapes, parks & existing housing estates
* Use of equipment such as Ride on mowing, Brush cutting, weed control & eradication, tree & garden bed maintenance
* Following & understanding maintenance schedules
* Ad hoc maintenance & landscape duties
* Following Winslow OH&S procedures
* Monitoring performance of work crew and subcontractors against estimates
ABOUT YOU
* Be physically fit
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Can pass a drug and alcohol test ( We have a ZERO Tolerance to drugs on ALL of our sites, projects and offices )
* Have a Construction Industry Card ( White Card )
* Previous team leading/supervisor experience
* Minimum of 1-2 years of team leading or supervisory experience required
* Good horticulture knowledge, including Parks and Gardens, qualification highly regarded
* Certificate III in Horticulture, Certificate IV in Parks and Gardens, or Diploma in Horticulture preferred
* Excellent communication skills & experience in understanding plans
* Someone willing to exceed the expectations of the client & take pride in your completed works
* Someone with a fantastic work ethic, an ability to work well with & lead their team
* Experience in working with authorities, such as local council
* Excellent client relationship management
* Demonstrated rapport with subcontractors
* Must hold a valid car licence
* Must be an Australian citizen
