Join our Resource Recovery & Waste Team and play a vital role in keeping the City of Melville clean, safe, and beautiful. As a Waste Collection Driver, you'll operate heavy rigid vehicles (side lift and rear loader trucks) and related equipment to deliver outstanding waste collection services with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

What you will be doing
As a Waste Collection Driver, you will be working with a close-knit team of experienced drivers to undertake a variety of tasks in waste collections (including commercial, litter bins and domestic rubbish, recycling and verge). You will be working to keep our city clean, safe and sustainable.
What We're Looking For
* Current HR Driver's Licence with experience operating heavy vehicles
* Strong teamwork skills and a cooperative outlook.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Standards.
Eligibility and Requirements
All candidates applying for a position where the use of 'plant and machinery' or driving a vehicle is an inherent requirement of the role and other 'high risk' facilities where public safety is at risk, will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test as part of a pre-employment medical.

While permanent positions are generally only open to Australian citizens or permanent residents, permanent positions may occasionally be filled on a fixed-term basis. In such cases and for fixed-term or casual roles, applicants with temporary unrestricted work rights in Australia (and residing in Perth) may be considered, provided they have unrestricted work rights for the duration of the appointment.
