 
        
        The role of Council Property Officer is a key position within our organisation.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to gain hands-on experience in property management within a fast-paced, high-performing local government team.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Support the management of our property portfolio including acquisitions and disposals.
 * Administer leases, licenses, and agreements in line with legislation.
 * Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including legal advisors and community groups.
 * Prepare reports and briefings for council and executive leadership.
 * Investigate and resolve property-related issues such as encroachments and illegal occupation of our land.
Requirements:
 * A strong understanding of property legislation including the Local Government Act and Retail Leases Act.
 * The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use initiative.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
 * A basic knowledge of conveyancing, valuations, and land use planning.
 * Confidence in preparing reports and handling legal documentation.
